Exterior Painting in Sun Peaks

Stucco, siding and trim painted for a mountain climate. We plan around snowmelt, cold nights and strong sun, sand, patch and caulk first, and walk the finish with you before final payment.

How We Handle Exterior Painting in Sun Peaks

Sun Peaks sits at a village base of 1,255 meters, and the resort reports about six meters of snow a year. That is a lot of snow load and meltwater on walls, trim and decks. The 2020 master plan describes village buildings as mostly wood frame, with outer walls of pastel-colored stucco, stone and wood, plus decks and balconies. Each of those materials needs its own prep before color goes on.

We paint stucco, siding and trim. After a visit and an itemized quote, you confirm colors and we set dates. We mask, sand, patch and caulk, then paint, and we leave the site clean each evening. Because village buildings follow design guidelines, check with your strata or property manager before you choose a new exterior color.

Local Knowledge

A short paint season at 1,255 meters

The resort's summer schedule hints at the season: in 2026 the golf course is open from May 16 to September 27. Outside painting fits a similar window, and snow can linger past the start of it. Sherwin-Williams lists some exterior paints as workable down to 35 degrees Fahrenheit, about 2 Celsius, but you still follow the label, and dew can settle on fresh paint after sunset.

The sun is strong, too. The resort reports more than 2,000 hours of sunshine a year, and Sherwin-Williams advises against painting in direct sunlight in hot months, since paint can dry too fast. So we plan the order of walls by sun and shade. Each material on the building, stucco, wood or trim, gets prep that suits it.

Common Questions

Exterior Painting Questions in Sun Peaks

Shorter than in Kamloops. The resort's 2026 summer schedule runs from mid-May to late September, and paint labels list a lowest working temperature. Tell us which months suit you, and we set dates once colors are confirmed.

It can. The resort reports about six meters of snow a year, and snow and meltwater sit on trim, ledges and decks. That is why we caulk gaps and patch cracks before painting.

Yes. We paint stucco, siding and trim. The master plan says village buildings mix pastel stucco, stone and wood, and each surface gets its own prep.

Ask first. The master plan says village buildings follow a Building Scheme with design guidelines. Check with your strata council or property manager. We can help you pick colors you can bring to them.

The master plan says winter cold can drop to minus 35 degrees Celsius. Paint cannot go on in that. Sherwin-Williams lists some exterior paints as workable down to 35 degrees Fahrenheit, but you must follow the label.

We paint trim as part of exterior work, and we stain decks and other outdoor wood. The master plan notes that village buildings include decks and balconies. Tell us what you have and we list each piece in the quote.

The resort says it is 56 kilometers, about 45 minutes, and winter road conditions can change that. We plan start times with you and update you if weather slows the road.

If paint blisters or peels because of how it was applied, the guarantee covers it. It leaves out structural failures, damage from acts of God and rot that was already there.

We walk the building, look at each wall, the trim and any decks or balconies, and note cracks and gaps. Then we write an itemized quote. Call (778) 910-7483 or email quickfixpainters@gmail.com to book.
